Basel, the international exhibition city with top connections

foto_rheinpanorama.jpg

Basel is at the heart of Europe, borders directly with France and Germany and is Switzerland’s second-strongest commercial region. As an urban hub at the three-countries triangle, the exhibition city is also internationally attractive for business and provides a unique range of cultural attractions.

Easy to reach

The tri-national EuroAirport, the three train stations of the Swiss, French and German national railways and its connection to the European road network make Basel easy to reach via international traffic networks.

Connections from the airport

The exhibition venue is a 15-minute drive from the EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg, (bus connection via SBB/SNCF train station or taxi). The price for a taxi ride is approximately CHF 40.- from the EuroAirport and around CHF 20.- from the SBB/SNCF train station. You can obtain the current flight schedule from the airlines easyJet and SWISS.

Culture and accommodation

Basel is characterised by a highly varied cultural offer. Around thirty museums are available to visitors, including the Fondation Beyeler and the Tinguely Museum. Basel has a vast selection of accommodation on offer in all categories. Last but not least, the Basel cuisine is highly valued for its variety of combined French, German and regional cuisine.
